Golspie Inn - Backies

This absolutely charming and lovely hotel offers an excellent experience. Pleasant and incredibly nice staff as one would expect. The units are well-designed and new-fashioned with shared bathroom. Nice touch to have an electric kettle and TV. The location is particularly good and incredible, 2 km from a style castle. Plus, this venue is just next door to a slope, and the highlands.

The bathrooms are cramped.

Charming stay with excellent traditional cuisine

The hotel boasts a cozy atmosphere filled with old-world charm, complemented by delicious meals with locally sourced ingredients. I particularly enjoyed the hearty Highland breakfast, a highlight of our experience. Road noise from outside disrupted our sleep a bit.

It was just a balanced option for a transient visit in Backies with great value for money. The locally fished prawns cooked in garlic butter were a good surprise. Be sure to ask about gluten-free meal options.

Our room wasvery comfy and tidy, with a big bed that ensured a good night's sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. Especially enjoyed the full breakfast, everything was fresh and well-cooked. The atmosphere had a charming traditional vibe that we really appreciated.

The location is perfect for families, with beautiful beaches just a short drive away. Plus, the teens loved that there was a pool to relax after our day at the castle, a real hit!

I had a fantastic time at this historic inn! The big bed was super comfy, and the impressive bathroom made my stay feel luxe. Breakfast was quite good, and even though the staff was busy, they were friendly and welcoming when I checked in, making it a memorable visit.

Heating in the room left much to be desired, with only an old electric heater providing warmth during chilly nights. The hotel's online information regarding amenities felt misleading, as promised features like strong Wi-Fi were inconsistent and sometimes unavailable in the rooms, which limited connectivity .

This place has a fantastic location near all the golf courses, close to the main center and Dunrobin Castle on the main highway.
